INDUSTRIAL VISIT

         The Department of Computer Science, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized a one day Industrial visit to Doordharshan Kendra, Chennai-600005 on September 04, 2018. The students were accompanied by faculty members and they learned about television broadcasting system. The students gained both theoretical and practical knowledge about the broadcasting technology.

         They learned about the Fundamentals of monochrome and colour TV system, TV camera, camera sensors, lighting, video tape recording, vision mixing, 3D graphics, television transmission, transmission control system, antenna system.

The students also visited the light studio, central apparatus room, video/tape recorder server room, earth station, CG section, video maintenance room, cat walk room, transmitter hall, Live telecasting room, studio and earth station. 

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR

The Department of Computer Science, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized one day Seminar “Emerging Technologies in Healthcare Sector & Exciting Career Opportunities” on August 30, 2018. The resource person was Mr. M. Renganathan, Marketing Manager-Middle East & North Africa, Younglim Co. Ltd., South Korea, Domain Expert, Medical Devices & Healthcare IT. 

The  seminar  benefits the students to prepare them for current Job opportunities in Healthcare sector,  acquire awareness on technology trends in Healthcare, explore Entrepreneurship opportunities, etc.,

WORKSHOP ON “3D GAMING AND VIRTUAL REALITY”

Two days Workshop on “3D Gaming and Virtual Reality” on August 27 & 28, 2018 in association with  Innovation Cell, IIT Bombay & Robokart.com.

The students had a fun-filled and highly informative session and were given hands-on-training in 3D game designing using “Unity 3D Gaming” software.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Faculty Development Programme on “Research Paper Writing using Latex” was organized by the Department of Computer Science in association with IQAC on August 20, 2018.
